Pirates? off Margate???
Discussion
Hardly pirates, judging by the BBC reports: No suggestion that they were trying to seize the ship, its cargo or its crew for profit - they were 'requesting' to be taken to the coast.
Not quite Blackbeard or Somalis with machine guns... just economic migrants, desperate to get to the UK in search of a better life for themselves?

There is a process for this, which doesn’t involve hijackng planes or ships. Smacks rather of queue jumping to me.
Arrrrr.
British Special Forces (DM can't decided whether it's SAS/SBS as they name both) storm the ship, rescue the crew and all four "pirates" are now under arrest.

Don’t worry though they will be up in court tomorrow no doubt bailed to return at a later date never to be seen of again. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6520617/S...
:-(
You do wonder how they expected things to go; lets threaten the crew of a large ship in one of the busiest waterways in the world and no doubt they'll just drop us off near the shore where we can swim to the beach and claim asylum? Unbelievably cheeky, but the SBS probably enjoyed their outing.

probably expect things to go as they planned...get arrested knowing we don't have room to keep them locked up so get bailed to appear at a later date and to report weekly to a local police station......Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
