I am having brunch on the QE2 tomorrow, followed by a tour of the ship.

Any interest here in some pictures?

Yes please! Lovely ship.

Particularly any engineering spaces would be fascinating, understandably you might not get there of course.

I think the tour is fairly limited, as much of it remains untouched, will do what I can.

A friend tried to get on the bridge as his Grandfather (or Great I forget which ) captained it from sometime in the late 60s but couldn't.

The tour is of the upper decks at the moment. (I took Mrs Fat Fairy there a few weeks ago).

We had Friday Brunch, then stayed overnight. Very nice. Mrs FF then insisted on going to the gold shop to buy 'a gold bar'.

Ship still looks lovely, but dated, as you might expect. She has her 'Battle Honour' proudly on show in the viewing area alongside.

Given it's maiden voyage was in May 1969, it's likely he was its very first Captain then....?
