Is there any info about the make-up of the Flypast? Just a solo or a little formation?

I love the way it mentions Honington, but doesn't mention why!

So the Tornados just do random fly pasts of various, but not all Raf bases?

No, I’m asking you why you feel the Tornado flypast over Honington should be given a reason in the article.

I don't really understand what the issue is here. I imagine they've planned to visit as many RAF Stations - plus associated sites - as possible. Some others might simply be too much of a PITA from an Air Traffic point of view (RAF Northolt for example).

All of the former Tornado 'Home' bases are encapsulated in the tour, RAF Honnigton being one such station.

Despite this ‘finale’ I read that this isn’t the last time you will see a Tornado in the air. I can’t add anything further unless someone else knows.

I saw a comment on Twitter about a 9 ship on the 28th?

I would be very surprised if they don't put up a final 9 ship formation in the last week or few days before 31st March, but likely just over Marham though, just as was done at the end of the Harrier, Phantom, Jaguar, Bucc and Lightning etc.

Ive no issue with the flypast over Honington, I have issues with the crap journalism. It mentions that it's a farewell flypast, but doesn't mention why Honington was picked to be flown over. Unless you lived round here 25 years ago, you wouldn't know Tornados were based there.

The internet might provide the answer if the casual reader doesn’t know.
