We’re not at war, so some sort of training. Nothing more.
Even ‘ferry’ flights are treated as training.

They left from somewhere near HMS Sultan on the Gosport peninsular, I was watching them from my window.

Cheers

I’m a bit hard of hearing so don’t usually notice this stuff, looked out the window and they were very low and scary looking.

Impressive to see

Numerous sites in Southampton to land for training sorties. A couple flew into fleetlands last week, you have the HLS at Southampton general which they’ve used before and matchwood has 2 sites that are regularly used along with approaches at Southampton airport.

As Tony said, nearly all flights you see from military aircraft are likely training sorties.

Makes a change for them not to be over us in the wilds south west of Newbury.

Very regular visitors day and night
