Good morning everyone,

I'm after advice on the best way to get the RIAT. Its been a few years since I have been and have always driven in the past. I want to visit again, but don't fancy the queue to get in the car park this time.

At the moment I'm thinking about using the bus service from Swindon, but could do the park and ride from Cheltenham. It doesn't show whether the the park and ride is sold out or not.

I'm interested in how busy the bus service from Swindon usually is and would it be long queues in the bus station rather than long queues in the car? And if it is still available, is the park and ride a better option?

Thanks

I used the park and ride from Swindon last year and it worked very well walked straight onto a bus both ways.

We had booked tickets so if you're going to go for it probably worth booking now

In the past tickets were sold as bundles (i.e. admission and park and ride = £XX). Now they're not, you build them up starting with an admission ticket and then adding upgrades like enclosure entry, or in this case bus travel.

So in this case you can buy a Friday at Super Earlybird price, Saturday ticket at full price, or Sunday at the Earlybird price, and add a shuttle bus.

Went last year. Stayed at travelodge in Swindon and got park and ride from just up the road. Bus got staight in to one of the gates.Didn't even have to queue, just a breif delay for security.

Swindon bus has to be one of the best ways to get to RIAT. Have used it in the past and would recommend.

Thanks again. I've booked the Swindon bus tickets and I can get the train to Swindon. It's going to be an early start, but looking at the photos in the link above has really wet my appetite and it's going to be worth it.
