Brush painting - what to use.
Discussion
As it happens I'm trying to brush paint a car...... but it's polyester GRP, so more like a boat!
In the past I've had great results from single -pack paint, but I've tried to be too ambitious and used a 2-pack. Because there were a lot of brush marks I did a rub down and coated with some 2-pack varnish. I thought I'd really got a good idea, as it came out well on the front wings. When I had some remaining brush marks on other parts i decided to flat them and polish using a DA etc. The result isn't good, so I've decided the only way is to get a good finish off the brush, using single pack coach paint. It seems if I flat it all back to provide a key I can go on top of the 2-pack, and this will also provide a good colour base, preferable to a (probably) large colour difference undercoat.
Here's the question though......... Tekaloid or Craftmaster coach paint?
I've seen so many conflicting opinions, has someone (with experience of both) any experience?
