Tall Ship Sailing
Discussion
Hi PH,
Anyone want to sail on a 55m long tall ship?
One this one, STS LORD NELSON, owned & operated by the Jubilee Sailing Trust.

Hope this doesn't break any forum rules, it's a genuine offer.
I've got a couple of places I can give away as a freebie on a voyage starting in Poole on Tuesday 28th and ending in Oban on 6th June. That's around a 600 nautical mile voyage, around Land's End, up the Irish Sea a through the stunning scenery of the Western Isles of Scotland.
The offer is open to anyone aged from 16 to 69 with no disabilities (including Diabetes, Epilepsy visual or hearing impairments, and Asperger’s/Autism)
No previous experience needed and all is included onboard, all food, bedding, safety equipment, waterproof clothing, sea boots, etc. All you will need is to get to & from the ship, a passport as there's the possibility of calling into France on the way, travel insurance, and a sense of adventure.
There’s no cost for this exciting opportunity, though a donation to cover food costs would be much appreciated.
If you are interested, or would like to know more, just get in touch via andy@jst.org.uk

I went on a tall ship a few years back and i'm very tempted. i'm not sure how France is on the way from Poole to Oban though.mcdjl said:

Say the wind was blowing from the West for the first couple of days, the 'Old Man' may decide to pop over to cherbourg for a pint & moules & frites rather than motor into it. What a good offer, for anyone wondering that would cost you £2k if you were to pay the usual donation. Sadly it doesn't fit around my shifts.
