It was wonky from the outset! It looks very salvageable though.

If you’re looking for seriously expensive mistakes though take a look at this £30m accident that happened a few weeks ago.

It was an everyday boat hauler , if you read the article it wasn't secured properly .rolleyes

Whoops! The dangers of slip loading I suppose - I would imagine they didn't stop to tie it down because they wouldn't get moving again with all that weight, they already had a JCB helping to tow it up the slope.

I saw that as the problem, the JCB did not take a wide enough line forcing the rig to cut the corner where the trailer dropped into soft ground.

Very sad. I know it’s just a boat, it’s insured etc etc - but also a proper labour of love that people gave some real time, love and effort to.
