Looks like one of those dummy aircraft and tanks that were set out to fool German reconnaissance flights.

Four times the size apparently; built by QinetiQ apprentices at Boscombe Down.

Doesn't it just.

Chalke Valley History Festival is a funny old event, quite enjoyable though if you're into your history (a daily broad subject) and worth a trip.

I think historian James Holland is the driving force behind it.

We went on Sunday... it was right at the top of a steep hill (not a particularly big hill mind you) and there were a couple of volunteers from the Typhoon organisation chatting to folk.

It was massive... slightly odd shaped in places, but certainly noticeable and I don't think anyone was being super critical etc.

The festival itself is a bit odd.. i always think its going to be much bigger than it really is... but good for a wander with the kids and plenty enough bangs, cannons, guns going off to keep everyone entertained!

Yes he was quite visible when I was there (being about 10' tall).
