Hi

We are on holiday right now in Polzeath/Rock with our 4.7M RIB and looking for suggestions on places to visit. The weather is stunning so we’ve already had a trip out to the Mumbles, Port Quinn, Port Isaac where upon our return we stumbled across a large pod of dolphins which blew our minds!

Today we ventured out to Port Quinn bay where a friendly Sunfish approached us for a while (again another special moment).

The weather looks to be holding for the next few days. Does anybody have suggestions on what else we should do with the boat whilst here?

head down past Newquay towards Crantock Bay perhaps, I remember that being rather pleasant? I'm guessing getting anywhere on the south coast of Cornwall is probably out of the question?

The Mumbles is one heck of a trip in a RIB from Rock!

Exactly my first thought - just checked and it's about 150k!!! laugh Quite some trek in a 16ft RIB!

Lusty Glaze, Mawgan Porth are worth a visit - you've got Polzeath just north of you. Depends what you want to do really - you're surrounded by stunning coastline though, so best to just get out there - sounds like you're doing just that already.

Does help if you enjoy surfing as well - spoilt for choice biggrin

Ahh yes! My bad, i should have said the Mouls. A slightly shorter trip...

Thanks for the suggestions. We are a surfing family so have spent quite a lot of time on Polzeath beach already.

Sounds like we are already ticking the boxes for
most of the local boating related must do’s. The weather is sticking so we’ll be out again today.

Can you get up to Tintagel?

The weather turned so Tintagel would have been a bit too far for comfort. We’ve opted for a trip into Padstow Harbour instead. Very busy!
