I’m just NW of York and have just seen a WW2 bomber with a pair of Hurricaines or Spitfire, one on either wing at less than approx 2,000 ft.
What did I see?

One of the fighters is circling over Linton, this is more interesting than the Tocanos

Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane according to neighbour. Wonderful sight.

They were heading up to Newcastle for a couple of nights. Sunderland and East Fortune airshows this weekend IIRC.

They fly by VFR rules as long as they can see the ground there ok to fly (subject to wind speed) the Dakota was probably pushing it last weekend!
