It seems that two Harriers have been just placed on the UK civil reg.

Sea Harrier F/A2 ex-ZH803, now G-RNFA and ex-RN two-seat T.8, ex-ZD990, now G-RNTB are now both at St.Athan, and rumoured to being returned to airworthy status there. Both are ex-RNAS Culdrose, where they've been stored and used as ground runners for deck handling training there.

Despite Art Nalls proving its possible out in the USA I remain skeptical that CAA will ever allow it here, especially in the post-Shoreham era, but we'll just have to wait and see.

I reckon there's more chance of winning the lottery jackpot!

Interestingly, G-INFO shows that applications for CAA Permits have been applied for on both aircraft.

I was at culdrose last month working in a hanger containing a Harrier. Next to it was a full scale F-35 mock up used at the school for flight deck operations.

I went back on Wednesday and the harrier was gone! Hopefully it will get back flying fingers crossed.

Perhaps they've been sold and getting airworthy for a ferry flight out of the country.
