2 Vulcans over work in Cheltenham this morning.

Quite a sight and even more of a noise!

Was it Spock and Sarek (the Vulcan ambassador) ?

You'd have more chance of seeing them rather than a flying V bomber.

B2 is significantly less noisy than Vulcan as well!! Think first era crappy f1 hybrid vs screaming DFV or v10....

Going home? They’re on deployment, got a few weeks left yet

Don't suppose for a minute there is a ops schedule published anywhere? I would love to see one flying but never yet managed it!

NOTAMS are listed at RAF Fairford to advise when the runway/airfield is active.

No specific aircraft movements are announced, for obvious reasons, however there are numerous spotters at Fairford who will post imminent aircraft movements onto various Facebook groups.

This usually gives people a chance to get to the airfield before the B2’s leave. Also the spotters will have a rough idea of their return.

Best to join the Facebook groups which will be of invaluable assistance.

Saw the "Vulcans" heading Northish over Worcester just, very noisy. Guess that is climb power and they are much quieter at cruise/attack approach?

Most aeroplanes are pretty quiet when they are throttled right back - as is normal for approach and landing.
