Erm...no idea what would possess someone to do such a thing, even being "intoxicated" but what implications would this have regarding repairs, damage and cost?.

Website currently linked above works fine for me on a PC.

On the story, not only did they shoot at it, they hit it once! Even being "intoxicated" alone is absolutely no excuse so it'll be interesting what other reason they give after the investigation (maybe the drunk was playing with his gun and had a Negligent Discharge on auto?).

It can't be true though because it suggests that Air France were going to carry 220 passengers in a plane with a capacity of 224, whereas our aviation industry experts on the other thread have told us that planes have to fly half empty for "social distancing", until they all go bust.

If you watch the video in the link the bullet has passed through one of the wing fillet fairings, and may have not even touched the fuselage itself. These fairing are non structural, although as you can see in the video it seems to have hit the supporting frame (behind the line of screws).

I think he was aiming at a person and the plane jumped in the way, as they do..
