Low level Hercules fly past today..
Discussion
There was one doing a very similar route around the southern counties at low level a few weeks back. Came doen from east anglia area after leaving Brize, and then spent time doing laps around Kent then tracked back west about 10 miles inland from the coast to a point somewhere in a line north of Chichester and then headed north back to Brize.

The C130 Hercules, A400 and C17 out of Brize Norton are usually up daily practicing approaches into various airports around the country. The Brize Norton Facebook page posts which plane is going where, and also coverage on the Cool things on Flightradar thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... but you'll need something like adsbexchange.com to see the military stuff.
Seen the A400 and C17 at BHX over the last few weeks.

I was in bed but still awake at something like 11/11.30 last night and something VERY noisy went overhead. I did fire up FR24 and the only thing showing nearby was a FedEx 767, but whatever this was seemed very loud indeed. But you say the Herc was showing on FR24 anyway? Certainly it's unusual for anything at all to overfly currently, whereas we're normally under a reasonably busy, but high-altitude/low noise, path.
