What are the implications for that happening ?
I imagine the foam is to suppress fire but at the same time should be otherwise fairly safe for aircraft.
Would it be a huge clean up or will it just largely disperse in a matter of hours ?

The retardant isn't chemically inert as you might think, so any unsealed areas will probably need stripping and cleaning, e.g. landing gear.
