I regularly see ah64 around the m25 j6 area.

Chinooks rattle my letter box too.

That's quite the euphemism... hehe

I'd hate to think what an Osprey rattles.

Weird, we have had this too (south west)... and evening stranger... air drops (parachuted cargo) from small planes over fields not too far from us (how weird is that?!)

M3 J3 - they came over us, heading home lower than usual.

Last week there was a group of Army Air Corps Apache gunships running exercises across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Suffolk and flying over at around 500ft. Got a lot of people very excited in the villages.

It wouldn't surprise me if they've moved down to you now.

Yep, two Apaches came over slowly about twenty minutes ago in Dorking.

We've had them, Chinooks and I think supa pumas (I don't know much about helicopters though!).

Local Facebook group says the fields a few miles away are rented out for training exercises, specifically at night. Believe the air ambulance, based in Redhill I think, also practices in the same location.

Hunter1 is probably one of your local sightings judging by the flightpath smile

This map track is showing Altitude, i.e. above sea level. The aircraft’s height above ground level isn’t shown, but I’d expect in a tactical exercise scenario they’d be down below 200ft AGL a lot of the time with transits between waypoints 200-500ft AGL.

Looks like training indeed, out of Wattisham, through the London Helilanes and out to the West, then south of the TMA and back to Wattisham. I’m guessing..... smile

I’m a mile from Wattisham, and work there. As well as the usual Apache movements two Wildcats are around here too.

Hardly lots.

Almost all their flying in the U.K. is training. Ok, after depth servicing there’ll be a few flight tests, and after major component replacement at regiment level there’ll be a little flight testing, but really, almost every Apache you see flying In the U.K. is training.

We've had these over Chatham on & off. Interesting they don't show on Flightradar24 or I couldn't see them anyway.
