We have it for cars, why not boats. I appreciate many of the larger yachts have questionable interiors but this one to me takes the crown.

Thunder - more info can be found on Aquaholics YouTube channel

It used to look like this

The odd arrangement can be explained by the presence of jet engines to take it to 34kns, granted, that is cool. At that speed you are using 2700l/hr.

In 2016 Thunder went through a refit which turned it into this

The silver paint has...silver in it and the gold paint has....gold. The owner was "friends" with designer Roberto Cavalli who kindly redesigned the boat from the hull up.

The interior looks like a Gaudi nightmare.

There are limited pictures so you may have to watch the youtube link provided earlier. Particularly if you want to see the "brainwash".

That's not merely badly modified, it's absolutely hideous. It's difficult to comprehend that anyone could specify that interior.

Yep, a truly hideous machine now. Still, if you can afford to burn 2700L/h you can afford not to care what anyone else thinks. biggrin

When I was working in KSA I designed that kind of stuff, for bank interiors. It was actually quite good fun. There are just a whole different set of aesthetic values at play. Why have gold when you can have... more gold! I suggested using platinum once but the client preferred more gold.

I'm not sure the comments on the YouTube video went the way the maker of the video expected.

unfortunately, the reason it is for sale is that the owner died. Now they are looking for someone with the same unique taste. They are looking for $6.5M but with out a massive overhaul it will be impossible to charter. I think they are going to struggle to give it away.

Loved this comment. smile

"When you have no taste but lots of money, you hire a designer who also has no taste. In the end, the designer has a lot of money, you still have no taste and you now have a boat that is completely tasteless".
