It's sunny outside, with clear blue skies and the pleasant chirping of nesting birds, so my mind has naturally started thinking about the roar of Merlins and the sweet smell of aviation fuel...

I assume that many will have been cancelled already this year, but are we likely to see many airshows this year? I'm hopeful that Boris' Build Back Better Bo**ocks, might mean a few previously cancelled events might get cobbled together this year.

Does the PH hivemind have any rumours or sources of information to give me hope, or will I just have to look forward to watching the usual daily commercial flights and FAA choppers from the comfort of my own back garden?

Shuttleworth are hoping to hold some airshows - using their "Drive In" system that they used last year, if necessary.

Hopefully some of the seaside shows will be on in the summer.
Seaside resorts will be packed anyway so may as well have a few air displays..

Cheers! Shuttleworth is some distance for me to travel, but I could tie it in with a visit to the in-laws. A way of sweetening the pill wink

Bournemouth seem to still be planning a show, but you'll have to wait until September... https://britishairshows.com/bournemouth-air-festiv...
