Be sad to loose it, but it seems many don't even know it's still there.

Signed. My grandfather worked at the Woolston factory and I remember him telling me about turning up to work to find the factory bombed and many colleagues had died. I believe he then went to working in a garage around Southampton but it’s been many years since he told me the story and he’s no longer with us to ask.

Signed. Absolutely crazy that anyone is even thinking of demolishing it.

I got 'confirma tu firma en tu correo electrónico o ésta será eliminada... Para que sumemos tu firma a la petición "Save the original Spitfire Flight Shed from demolition", es necesario que la confirmes. Haz click en el botón más abajo y confirma tu firma... Gracias por creer en el cambio! El equipo de Change.org'

So I was a bit hesitant about clicking it.

Is it listed? If not, and an alternative use cannot be found then I guess the landlord has to pay business rates and if that's the case then it's fate is probably sealed.

Simlar happened with the Flightshed at Londbridge which was designed ay Barnes Wallis. At time of construction it was the largest single span roof and used a geodetic stucture simialr to the Wellington Bomber. Battles & Hurricanes were made in here and it also played a significant part in the story of British Leyland and late MG Rover. They still knocked it down so they identikit housing could be developed.

Fingers crossed it can be saved.
