Looking through YouTube and I came across this absolute gem of a film detailing the modernisation of Sheffield's goods handling in the 1960's.

Makes a pleasant change from more houses.

In a way it would have been a waste of a bigger loco, they were built, or rather converted and had weight added to the 'slave unit' to give them more brake - noticed the huge buffer beam. Three pairs were built / converted in the '60s specifically for use in Tinsley Yard

Many photographs here, mostly mid to late 80's diesel depot https://www.flickr.com/groups/2939274@N23/pool/ and more yard and depot pics here https://www.flickr.com/groups/tinsleyyard/pool/
Strange to see those wagons running by themselves. Last time I saw that was when I'd forgot to couple up an arbel at the end of a 4 set in our yard
I never knew Tinsley was such a massive yard either, bloody hard work for the brakesmen at the time I'd imagine. The signal box there must have been state of the art as well in that film, I saw something very similar on a visit to Colchester PWB back in '99 if I recall.
