BA are running daily flights until mid Nov IIRC to Frankfurt and Milan
Not sure on how they will translate Eurotraveller and Club Europe int 4 classes .BUT you might just get to have a peep in First if you ask nicely
Dont expect all the extras
Frankfurt and Madrid, not Milan :-) To refamiliarise air crews. Not sure on how they will translate Eurotraveller and Club Europe int 4 classes .BUT you might just get to have a peep in First if you ask nicely

Flights start 5 and 8 November respectively, before they start going Miami, Dubai, Dallas and LA in December.
I flew from Madrid to London a couple of years ago on a 4 class BA 777. My ticket was Club Europe and I was able to select seat 1K (ie in the First cabin). In the end, the number of CE passengers was less than the number of CW seats, so I was dropped down to CW and First was left empty. I guess that the same thing applied to the WT+ cabin for economy passengers.
I just got the normal CE food and service.
The flight out was one of of the early A350 flights used for staff training. On that (a 3 class layout), only the CW and WT cabins were used. WT+ was used by crew - there were lots of them!

I used to fly a lot to Amsterdam from LHR, which is one of BAs shorter journeys. A very early flight twice a week, and as I was doing it for a Bank in the “good old days” it was biz, which was absurd, but very nice.
One day I arrived to carnage at the check in. The _really_ early flight was cancelled, so I expected the worst, but no, I was handed a boarding card with an unfamiliar seat designation. Turns out they’d laid on a full fat 747 for the trip. Biz in the 747 was nice, but the cabin crew were clueless - the passengers did this every week, so knew as soon as the ‘plane was level, hot breakfast was served. The crew were more used to serving food about two hours after take off.
As ever, the wind at Schipol was ghastly, and the pilot admitted that he’d never landed a 747 there before, after we were safely down.
