Tipping Point question
Discussion
On the ITV gameshow, Tipping Point, this afternoon the contestant was asked, "Of which part of the armed forces was the main character in Catch 22 a member?"
The contestant responded, '"Army", which they were told was incorrect, and that the answer was "Air Force".
Given that the United States Air Force only became a separate entity post-war and it was the United States Army Air Force at the time the book was set, surely the contestant was correct?

On 'Pointless' they'd have gone off to check it (or got it right to start with). I did hear them announce a correction once.
That's because Osman is interested in getting it right. I doubt the catalogue model who presents Tipping Point knows any of the answers before the set changes colour!Gassing Station | Boats, Planes & Trains | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
