I have what appears to be a De Havilland Vampire overhead near Pershore.
Not showing on Flight Radar - does anyone have any details ?

Yes, its T.11 ex-WZ507.

Its the only airworthy one left in the UK, and the group announced on Twitter she would be up in the air today.

Was featured in Discovery Channels “Hornby A Model World” the other day. The new Airfix kit was designed on this Vampire and is in the box cover art.

And the decal sheet in the first release of the kit featured it too.

I'd love Airfix to release a modern single seat Vampire in 1/72. They recently released one in 1/48.

It did indeed Eric. They went into the archives on the programme to dig out the original box art and talked about decals.

I have fond memories of seeing Vampires in the mid 1970s. The Irish Air Corps operated six T55s up until 1976s. They were a common site in and around the Dublin area up until then. They always sounded a bit like a whistling kettle - especially when throttled back.

My Dad was an armourer in the RAF and he used to load the shells into the guns. I remembering him saying he disliked the Vampire as he had to lay on his back underneath the aircraft and haul the shells in lifting them off his chest.
