Due to not being able to find a suitable location apparently. Doesn't say much about the decision to host it at Sywell last year.

Truth is, Duxford was the only realistic place to host it, nowhere else would even come close to matching the overall experience of a warbird flying display and world class museum. I think anyone who had attended Sywell FL last year would have left a bit underwhelmed TBH.

In some ways it's sad, in other ways I'd say let it go if they can't come to an agreement with Duxford. Seems to me there are no winners here.

That’s got to be the understatement of the year!

To be fair, the issues that are now with Sywell, have materialized since last summer, and its not just Legends that has a problem. There are ongoing issues since end of last summer with GA use of the airfield, and problems with ATC issues, such as not being able to recruit people to operate the tower, as well as other problems.
18 months ago, Sywell was probably the only options, and the problem they have since then, has meant TFC has had to look elsewhere, and without luck.

I think that's the end of Legends now, unless TFC look to move their whole operation to another venue that would also be suitable to hold Legends.

I bought tickets for FL at Sywell, but it was obvious that even if the display was as good as the best of past years, the fact there’s no museum as another attraction was always going to make it a second rate experience.

It was good while it lasted, but sounds like - irrespective of blame - it’s run it’s course.

Maybe Cosford?

Maybe, then again the Flying Legends hangars are at Duxford, and they were always great to wander around after the display.

I’d have thought if Cosford was on, that would have been way above Sywell for last year though?

One of the problems with Cosford, is that the preferred date of Legends from TFC's pov, is only a couple of weeks after Cosford's own airshow at the end of June.
