Which is what?
Chinook with Apache escort is a classic Herrick package. It’s not that special.
Even if they are headed anywhere interesting they wouldn’t deploy as a tactical package.
Chinny has much longer legs than Apache for a start so they’d only form up in theatre.

When we went to Iraq, virtually every available Chinook was sent.
When we went to Afghanistan half a dozen were sent.
Ukraine is the biggest thing since WW2 and yet just one? Come on…..

Mate, please, I’ve spent the last two weeks or so working on the four aircraft that left, plus the spare. The role using two external fuel tanks is extremely unusual.
