We've just had a few days there. All week, blood noisy, interesting acrobatics at first but soon just gets annoying.

It's mainly Typhoons from Coningsby and F15's from Lakenheath.

Gutter that we had a week there in the summer and saw nothing!
Lovely part of the world though.

You hear them more than you see them.

Actually seeing them is an acquired skill - they're fking loud even when they're at high altitude, but obviously because of the time the sound takes to reach the ground, if you look where the noise is coming from, they're no longer there!

With a bit of luck they'll get a bit lost and toggle some high explosive on Mablethorpe or Skegness, a 1000lb bomb could do umpteen thousand £££ worth of improvements hehe

There's a lot of activity out of RAF Waddington at the moment, Cobra Warrior :

We've noticed a lot more flying and we're 20 miles North East of Lincoln. It could explain the increase further South.

Training. You could teach...

...monkeys to fly better then that.. paperbag

Great to hear the Germans brought Tornados. Would be great to see them flying again in the UK.

Yes F15s I think, a distinctive tail. Sometimes 2 up at a time, often quite low and easily visible.

I've visited the area a lot, never noticed so much as last week.

Monday was a US public holiday so chances are, to keep the weekly hours up, they flew 5 days of sorties in 4?

Just finished a week's boating on the Broads. They were overhead pretty much everyday.

Plus on Thurs some propellor hercules type planes (no idea what they were) buzzed Barton Broad at low altitude. Was awesome to see !

We saw a pair of those going back and forth, just after the announcement for HRH.

I may be completely wrong on this but my experience is that really loud fighter jets are the American ones. No doubt they’ve been upgraded since the early 70s but they’re still quite an old design.

I’m struggling to understand what you’re saying there…
