Has anybody been this year? If so, any recommendations on must do’s? We are going this Saturday.

Just got back from it - avoid hospitality areas as before you know it you’ve bought a new mattress for your boat for £1300. But apart from that I really enjoyed it. There’s a vast selection of boats and most companies are fairly welcoming to you having a look round. If you’ve got the time get down there and enjoy it.

It's a long drive from Liverpool to do a day trip.

It's an ordinary mattress but has the word 'marine' in front of it... wink

Mattress: £300
Prefix: £1,000

Tbf, a good mattress isn't cheap.

We've recently paid not far off that for a custom shape (slightly tapering at one end of the bow) mattress from Odd Mattress Co. No mention of boat during the transition or pricing.

We went. Had a lovely day out.

There were less retailers (with deals to be had) which the OH wasn't completely happy about, more freebies than in some years

Some amazing boats. And the Bentley Bentayga EWB was amazing. we sat in it for ten minutes and had a seat massage laugh

Interestingly, I think they tried to put the entry price up a lot. We got our tickets through Wowcher for about half price. PBO had a similar offer. I wouldn't have paid the full price to go.

Went with the 81y'o Father in law his brother and my 18y/o son.

FiL is obsessed with the Flemming 55 - $2.8M and delivery in 2025.....he didnt bite...

The Bentley stand was outstanding - two really enthusiastic guys from the Mulliner coachworks in Speke - really welcoming and interested in explaining the technology in their latest cars - stone veneer in the trim and the technology in the LED headlights - blew me away.

Sadly I'm probably further away from a Bentley than the FiL is from a Flemming but really interesting and an enjoyable day out. Welcoming and not pretentious at all.

When you told them it was a boat show not a car show, did they say 'st, we wondered why all the other cars had pointy fronts'?

Thing is that most of the mattresses are actually the same as the ones for motorhomes so there is no need to spend 1300 !!

I did see that stand in the covered display area and did have a wtf moment !!

It’s this and spending too long in the hospitality before that. But tbh I’m looking forwards to its arrival.

Re the Bentley - yes - stunning -
