spraying/wrapping boat cockpit table

cant find a crownline original, so looking to pimp up this table, any one done the same, and if so what worked, can see various plastic sprays, with different reviews, i know also that nearly anything can be wrapped too any feedback appreciated,

For a boat. I would go with cork. Im sure you can find some that will fit inside your tables lip.
You will need to increase the lip height though

I'd avoid wrapping it, vinyls aren't particularly scratch resistant so it look like crap after a few uses.

How about starting again with a nice chunk of veneered timber? Cut it to a shape you like and add matching edge trim.
