Afternoon All,

In Turvey 5 min ago, heading towards Bedford. Given I've never seen one in the flesh, any ideas what's going on? Airshow, Ukraine, full scale zombie escape?

It's been discussed on the Ukraine thread.

Apparently it's the Dutch airforce on exercises.

The EU has unilaterally cancelled Brexit, and the French want their colony back?

5 Dutch registered Chinook’s in close formation and very low flew over NW London earlier.

ADSB had them coming out of Northolt heading north.

Rear doors were open and the crew member on the ramp was very visible.

Thunderous noise!

I live and work near military bases in the South, and often when out in the works vehicle, I see them flying low and playing silly buggers around the fields and behind trees smile

And every time I see one up close like this, I think to myself 'thank Christ they're on my side...!'

They're truly scary I think.
