Conroy Skymonster will be scrapped

The unique Conroy Skymonster that has been at Bournemouth for years is going to be scrapped. Based on a CL-44 Freighter itself based on a Bristol Britannia it's another outsized special that will be lost after the Guppy scrapping at Bruntingthorpe.

I'm not too precious about saving every aeroplane to be honest. Although the Skymonster was a unique aeroplane, it isn't that historically significant.

Big planes are a real problem when it comes to preservation.

Bournemouth's not short of those tbh, & they all struggle in the quiet season. There's a rumour the cockpit may cross the road to join the museum.
