The NTSB are going to be busy.

So, it appears the CVR was found in the same 8ft deep hole the aircraft made in tarmac when it hit, hard and fast

It was rebuilt, investigated and found to have NOT been working for years.

Apparently it's a legal requirement and this now asks different questions - was the aircraft maintained properly, what else could have failed and also what happened, we may never actually know.

Will this crash open a can of worms? I guess the NTSB have to obtain all of the facts first.
