Has anyone been for a nosey around the "abandoned" airframes at Predannack lately?
Looking on Google maps they seem to have had a clear out sadly.
Can anyone report on this? I'd like to go down for a look but only if it's worth the trip.

I think the airframes were removed two or three years ago.

Yep.

And as its now heavily used as the new UK National Drone Hub, you probably don't wont to be caught snooping around the place.

No idea of the state of the place now, but happy memories as a cadet back in 83 doing my CCF gliding course at Predannack.

It looks like the old airframes at Predannack were indeed cleared out a couple of years ago. The site is now actively used as part of the UK National Drone Hub, so public access or “exploring” isn’t really advisable anymore.

If you were hoping for an aviation nostalgia trip, it might not be worth the journey — though it’s still an interesting spot historically, especially for those who remember its CCF gliding days back in the ’80s.
