As per the title, any recommendations for a sailing forum? I enjoyed sailing with the forces around 20 years ago, and looking to get back into it. A forum with some PH style knowledge and home truths (preferably without the NP&E style warriors) would be great. An initial Google search brings up a good few options, but joining multiple forums to get no replies or engagement doesn't appeal.
Planning to pop my head into a couple of the local sailing clubs to say hello at some point as well.

Snap!

Did my Day Skipper with JSASTC Gosport and sailed mainly around the Solent. Haven't skippered a boat for >20 years but took the plunge and bought a Red Fox 200 trailer sailer & I haven't looked back since!

Only advice is have a look at a few sailing clubs & find the one you feel is right for you. They usually have either WhatsApp groups or FB groups that advertise when a guy needs crew or is just heading out for a jolly & you can hop onboard for some fun. They are a mountain of advice (some wanted, others...), hands-on help, spares and cheap surplus gear.

Personally, I'm on the Medway & from launch this Easter, we've been out on her every weekend and my only regret is not having done it sooner! Total budget including purchase, moorings and a brand new outboard is sub £5k

Swale regatta this weekend & here she is at Chatham!

What sort of sailing. Dinghies or Yachts?

Dont really have an answer, but it might help others. The National 12 forum was ok for specifics and I am sure there are others.
RS200 chat appears to have mainly moved onto Facebook when I was looking to sell ours a few years ago.
