The Philippines and China have some excitement over who owns what in the region and there was a bit of David versus Goliath action recently:

The Navy ship looks like a Jaws movie the way it just appears. Looks like the Coastguard ship was preparing for a get together, by throwing the fender buoy thing over the side.

Chinese playing silly games, winning silly prizes, although no doubt they will continue acting the prick.

Yep, this is just the latest in a long list of incidents between the Philippines and China in the region.

I'd be surprised if the two on the cutter's bow with the fender survived the collision without severe injury, those fenders would be useless in a coming-together anyway as demonstrated seconds later.

Given the crushing on one and the hole on the other they'd have had to move quick to get out of the way, assuming they weren't just thrown overboard.

Yep.

I would have laughed though if both Chinese ships had been damaged enough to have taken on water and sunk.
