The CT-114 Tutor is older than the Red'sHawk T1s, but not by a lot! Criss-crossing Canada probably adds up airframe hours a bit quicker than the UK though.

Yeah, the Tutor’s ancient. Cross-Canada hauls definitely eat up hours faster than zipping around the UK.

Well, coincidentally, the Reds have just announced they'll be flying with only seven aircraft for most displays now to preserve the fleet until they can be replaced in 2030.

The Hawk T1's will be retired at the end of the 2029 season.

Whether the Reds will be flying something else in 2030 or not flying at all is still not known.

Watched their last ever Canadian show yesterday. They also did a formation with the first delivered Pilatus PC-2 which will be the eventual replacement for the Tutor when they have enough of them ("early 2030s" apparently). The main complaint people seem to have about the PC-2 it won't have the noise of a jet, but that is tosh, the tutor is hardly an F22 in that regard. I'm just sad Canada doesn't have a display team for the next several years. The new plane isn't much slower and seems to have similar aero limits.

Hopefully the RAF is taking notes and has a plan for the Reds......
