Off to the Festival of Flight this weekend, and am rather excited, but for...reasons...I'm probably going to end up having to take the NSX...which isn't overly blessed with ground clearance.

Given I've got a 2 hour drive and would prefer (if I can) not to set a ridiculously early weekend alarm and upset an already-tired Mrs H (and then have 5hrs onsite before the flying display starts anyway), I'm most likely going to end up in the overspill car park.

Can anyone tell me how 'lumpy' the overspill car park is? Or compare it vs e.g. Sywell which was properly bumpy and I had to take slowly in the Civic, or Goodwood's pre-96 car park (which was bobbly but manageable in the NSX).

Thanks.

I've been a few times in a Cobra which doesn't have a lot of ground clearance and I can't recall their being a problem. If you are worried about it you could explain to one of the parking stewards and they might be able to help find an appropriate place.
I'm going myself, but not in a Cobra this time.

I’ve not parked in the overflow but have driven through the grounds many times in my lowered car without any issues.

The gates don’t open til 9am though so even if you arrive around 9.30 I reckon you’ll be in the normal paddock

I’ll be there both days this weekend and my car is very low & I’ll probably be in the overflow car park when I arrive early Saturday afternoon
