Seems Emirates don’t want their first batch of 777Xs and one has already been scrapped.

I know early test aircraft, eg a couple of early 787s, usually go to the scrapyard fairly early in life, but scrapping a customer aircraft before delivery and the customer refusing the rest because they’ve been chopped about too much is pretty dire.
From reading the story this doesn’t seem to be a play for a discount either, Emirates genuinely don’t want the things.
Wonder if they’ll end up going to a leasing company for a fraction of their original price or if Boeing will end up just cutting them up.
