One for the experts and any investigation I suppose but the angle does seem to make it look either fine or really close.

If you guys think it’s fine, and it’s your area of expertise then I bow to that.
But it certainly looks a bit tight to me.
I wonder what their equivalent of the CAA makes of it? Maybe it’s a case of “any rugby test you walk away from with a win, is a good one”.
Here we’d have a judge led public enquiry lasting 10 years, promising that lessons will be learnt.

Whole load of fun sponges online frothing over this, I thought it was cool AF and it's what I want to see, fly overs are all way too high these days!
Mainly agree but if the weather/conditions within the stadium caused the lower plane to drop a wing it would have been extremely close.demic said:

To be fair these things almost never go wrong
Almost never..... and often followed by the phrase "watch this".....Just like the pilot of that Turkish AF F-16 a couple of weeks ago, that ripped off the external fuel tanks as he did a 'show off' flypast over some trees, and had to bang out sharpish before the jet ploughed into the ground.

Pretty reckless in my opinion as a casual observer even if it was “planed and briefed”. It’s one thing doing these stunts over runways and airfields where if it goes wrong you might kill yourself, and take a few others with you. It’s a completely different matter when your ego takes hundreds out.

I'd like to think the CAA would investigate it promptly and if necessary give the pilots a bit of gardening leave if it happened here, but SA is a failing state so even if it is as dangerous as it looks palms are likely to be greased rather than investigations and licence suspension.
