Windsurfers anyone?

Not sure where this thread fits so will let the Mods figure that one out
What kit has everyone got?
Well I will start, I prefer Neil Pryde equipment and AHD boards. I prefer flat water blasting as opposed to wave sailing. Where are the best spots to go in the UK for windsurfing where its not too cold?
We have some great windsurfing conditions down here in New Zealand. And water is pretty clear and warm.

Sandbanks Bay in Poole Harbour. Not entirely sure about "not too cold" though

i used to have a splash, should really try to get out a bit more, i used to love the neil pryde sails and i liked the f2 boards, i thought the sputnik was a fantastic board although probably a bit old school now as its so small, i liked the ahd i had a few goes on one although i never took to the short length high volume, i used to surf at abersoch in north wales and a beach called hells mouth
i've been out of it for a good few years, but before i 'retired' into yachting, i was using RRD (Roberto Ricci Designs) convertible boards with Simmer Style sails and Fibrespar masts... I also had a Bic Saxo 253 for when it got a little hairy.
Great sport and very much like walking... you never really forget how to do it once you've learnt... it's all about delicate transfers of weight and pressure... i went to mautirius a few years back and picked up one of those new-fangled AHD slalom boards with a 9.5m Pryde race sail... just hopped on and went... hadn't been on a board for 5yrs.

I windsurfed nearly every weekend in the late 80's and early 90s and didnt do any until a few years back. As previously mentioned you never forget how to windsurf. I jumped back on Naish wave gear and weigh 15 stone. The only thing I had problems with was fitness, in my early teens I would gou out at 9am do some races on the old BWA/BFA scene and only stop for lunch and some water. Nowadays I'd be lucky to blast for 15mins without a beachstop.
One thing I noted was that is isn't as fun as it once was. So much so I didn't go at all last summer. In the good ol' days there would be literally hundreds of us blasting around on bizarre shaped boards and sails, at the moment you are lucky to get more than 10 out on my local beach. Everyone has either chucked in the towel or shifted to kitesurfing and just surfing. The gear it way overpriced and everything it just too technical and lost the fun factor

I'm getting into it.. on the days when it's too windy to sail the Cherub. Getting the hang of it slowly. It's good fun - a different rush to the dinghy. Currently sailing whatever I get given or can find for under a tenner. I think probably the cheapest startup sport ever given that I already had wetsuits etc. People seem to love giving me boards and stuff for free and a decent rig hasn't set me back much.
Anyways, sailing up a Grafham Water. Anyone else on here sail there?
