Evening all,

Looking to go playing in a powerboat type thing. Red letter day offer various experiances. I have gone before years ago but the person I am taking has not. Want to find something where we can have a little play, she can have a chance to pilot one (hopefully both of us can!). Basic criteria is I want something fast and water-based!

Anyone have any idea which are the most fun of these kind of things and where to pick up the best deals?

Cheers

Give this bloke a buzz.

http://www.powerboatcentre.com/

If you don't want the full blown race training he will at least point you in the right direction. There are some muppets out there to avoid.

Once you've done a bit why not give this a go?

Thanks for those. I will pass on the Sunseeker, been on them so many times. Lovely boats but looking for something more extreme.

The powerboat one I shall follow up on. Really appreciate the links.

PH - cos everything matters!

Spoke to the Powerboat Centre yesterday and had a chat with a lovely lady who works there. They only offer a full day experiance, they can do a half day one but dont recommend it. It's not cheap compared to others but they seem to offer a lot more time in the boat and actually on the wheel. Also seem to be a really nice company to deal with, very helpful indeed. Still looking about but so far this one does seem like a really good option. Thanks for the link.

When you look at Neils experience levels and who uses him, at least you can guarantee value for money. As I said before there are lots of people out there offering dubious days. Let us know how you get on
