Flying Legends, Fairford, Yeovilton all on the same day/days? Why do they always do that? Usually when Goodwood is on too.

WAs at flying legends last year and thoroughly enjoyed it, highly recommended.

Fairford is the weekend after Lengends this year and Goodwood is the weekend Before.

Not sure if I'll do Fairford, only reason to go is XH558, cant say as there looks to be anything of any other real interest.

Same date as the Wattisham families day/70th bithday.
It has been alleged by those in the know we are getting all sorts of wonderful things doing fly pasts during the afternoon.

Bored from the FL site.

The Horsemen Cometh to the Flying Legends Air Show

The Fighter Collection is delighted to announce that it will be presenting The Horsemen in a truly amazing aerial spectacle at this year’s Flying Legends on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2009.

This will be the only UK appearance by The Horsemen in 2009.

The Horsemen are widely known as the world’s only P-51 Mustang aerobatic team, comprising three highly skilled warbird pilots who have a passion for showcasing the aircraft that made America great.

Jim is a technological wizard when it comes to flying the P-51 Mustang and serves as the Horsemen Flight Lead. In addition to the Mustang, he flies the T-6 Texan and Spitfire XVIII. Jim is also a civilian pilot for the USAF Heritage Flight programme.

Dan is passionate about preserving aviation history and delights in showcasing the iconic P-51 Mustang. He also flies the T-6 Texan, Spitfire, Wildcat and various helicopters. The USAF recently selected Dan as a Heritage Flight civilian pilot.

Ed is a long-time air show performer with more than 18 years of experience flying the T-6 Texan, P-51 Mustang, the F8F Bearcat and the F-86 Sabre. He was also one of the civilian founders of the USAF Heritage programme and serves on the International Council of Air Shows’ Board of Directors.
