Mmmmmmmmmm the Vulcan, right up there as one of my favourites. I'm so glad that she was finally restored & able to take to the air, although I've read that the whole project is once again threatened & in dire need of an urgent cash injection.

I remember back in the mid 80's when Britsh Aerospace Broughton (Airbus UK) used to have regular airshows. Not only did the Vulcan set off car alarms, it made the headlines after blowing soot back down the chimneys of local residents homes............Class!

Surprisingly I didn't hear it either...the GP had just finished, and it flew straight across the fields opposite my house ( patio door end).
Direction would have been towards Silverstone, so will be interesting to see if it did do a fly past there....didn't see anything on the BBC show though.

Unless you're into RAF serials, you probably hadn't have recognised the significance of the letters and numbers "XH558".

Vulcan listed as flying both days at Biggin Hill - have't seen thin in the air since I was a kid.
