Have a look at their website for what aircraft are taking part http://www.airtattoo.com/airshow/Aircraft/particip...

The only US aircraft flying are a B-52 and C-17. No Raptor static or flying I'm afraid.

a lot of US planes seem to have dropped this year ... looking at the listings .. no flying B1-b ... plus a few UK entrants have pulled out too.

We have a choice of saturday or sunday .. so were going to wait and see which day looks to be the best weather wise, and if it turns out to be the sunday, we hope the Vulcan doesnt breakdown smile

It wasn't a big problem and was fixed that afternoon. Only reason she didn't fly in the end was the weather got too bad smile

Edited to add: Departing Yeovilton 1200 Friday, arriving at Fairford 1245 or thereabouts.

Don't forget, ******NO TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE GATE******.

If you decided to turn up and buy tickets for the show you won't be able to. You won't get in.

It was introduced last year (then the show didn't go ahead).

I believe some local branches(to Fairford)of Barclays have stopped selling Saturday tickets now.

TBH after a quick skim through the lineup I thought it looked quite bare compared to the past few years. Wonder if some of the foreign air forces have been put off making the effort after what happened last year. There doesnt appear to be any stand out aircraft such as the f22 or that fancy mig. Rafale - meh. Vulcan - only if it hasn't broke down.

Farnbourough years tend to have more interesting aircraft, as they share acts. That is why in 2008 Fairford had the F-22 and FA-18Super Hornet. In 2006 we had the Mig 29 OVT. Again that was another Farnborough year.

The line up does indeed look a bit rubbish. I'm going to pop down on the bike and see what I can see from the perimeter.

I'm currently sat in my office, underneath the approach into Fairford listening to stuff making its way in, and i can't see it frown. It's so unfair I keep wanting to run outside and watch, but I think my boss / work colleagues would think me slightly odd. Still nearly lunch.

you do get two Typhoons though - and if the display is anythign like one of them put on at the British Grand prix it'll be worth it.

Amazing aircraft and an amazing display from it.

Swiss and Finnish F-18'S went up for practice displays today.

A lot of stuff came in for both the static and flying displays.

This is what I can think of off the top of my head.

Finnish F-18 (X2)
Spannish EFA-18 (X2)
Eurofighter (x1)
Harrier (x3)
Hawks (Fly Navy) (x5)
Rafale B (x2)
Nimrod MR2
Algerian C130
RNLAF - F16 (x5)
Norwegian - F16 (X2)
B52
Brazillian C295M
Delta Jets Hunter T7
NATO - E3 Sentry
Hellenic AF - RF-4E Phantom
Various Helicopters for the Fly Navy 100.
Red Arrows

Tomorrow I think there is due:

VC-10
Tornados
Sentinel
C17
Vulcan
Mirage F1 ??

Plus possibly some more.

Easy - it's extremely, almost laughably in-accurate.
Where as AccuWeather is very nearly spot on all the time... http://www.accuweather.com/ukie/index-forecast.asp...
