Between 4.15 and 4.45 circling low between Aldermaston and Basingstoke, then again over the M3 northbound saw it six or seven times banked, climbing etc - unforgettable. A simply awesome machine.
Then about an hour later a Dakota (I think) flying out of Dunsfold, know where near as special but nice none the less.

I can't match the Vulcan, but we had the Catalina do a flypast yesterday in work and today we had a nice display by a Hurricane.

We had the BofB mermorial flight Dakota fly over us as it took off from Bournemouth not long ago, plus the Reds when they were based at the airport for Goodwood FofS. Last week we had a Quinetiq Alpha Jet which was an unusual sight, and yesterday we had two HS748's land at Bournemouth whilst I was at the flying club, (don't see too many 748's these days).

I think the Dakota Spitfire and Hurricane of the BBMF and the Vulcan were going to East Fortune up near Edinburgh.

Huh, that's nothing...

A hang glider flew over here a minute ago...

Then we had pigeons...

Crapping in flight...

Synchronised, I think..

An awesome afternoon...smile

I hope they decide to take the scenic route back and take in the coast at Blackpool

I am on my way home after having seen the vulcan at sunderland. A wonderful sight and amazing soundtrack to go with it. The beach was a good location for photography.

Spotted 1510 hrs flying just a few miles or so, north of the Silverstone Classics event

(couple of miles? Who can tell, maybe a tad more)

I was watching this shape in the distance when it made a slight turn, possibly towards Daventry or the gap between there and Northampton and the fin and the bulk of the wingspan became obvious.

How much of a donation would it have cost Silverstone to have her fly over while positioning for the Sunderland display? She was only a few miles off anyway...

[means I'm sorta happy (cos I saw her) and sorta p1ssed off because a huge opportunity was missed to raise her profile again]

It was definitely doing the rounds last Saturday!

It also put in a brief appearance over the Game Fair at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, dipping its wings to the crowds as it flew over.

Nice to see a Vulcan in the air again - they used to be a pretty regular site when I was a kid.
