Not spotted any live links. It's a glorified Shuttle SRB so will look much the same.

Well it would still be cool to see, especially if the spectators were allowed to chuck rubbish into the plume smile

As Eric says, it's just a lengthened Shuttle SRB ( 5 segments instead of 4 ), so today's test will look just the same as the earlier SRB tests

It was cancelled due to the failure of the motor that gimbals the nozzle.

Things aren't going great for US space at the moment.

Apart from yet another scrubbed Shuttle launch, they suffered a major problem with their LRO probe when it used up far too much of its propellant the other night when refining its orbit around the moon. They are hoping the mission won't be compromised too much.

There is a major question mark hanging over them regarding the entire future of their manned programme. It looks to me that NASA could end up being out of manned spaceflight for at least a decade if they don't get some clear direction from the Obama administration.

Went ahead last Thursday http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8249772.stm

Made me chuckle when, after a couple of seconds of flames and smoke shooting out of it, the commentator says "We have ignition" - No st Sherlock !
