Whas going on? I've had about 10 minutes of fast jets going overhead. The 1st two seemed in a real hurry!

They are invading us, since we became a new friend and ally of Libya. They want our oil.

Nice! I saw one of these Strike Eagles on thursday during the evening session at Snetterton. Always love visiting that circuit just for the USAF birds you're bound to spot!

I don't know but the last pass they did was lower and possibly faster than the rest (based puerly on noise as I'm at a desk in an office). I almost expected to hear a boom.

So they haven't flushed Gordon Brown out from his hiding place yet? He must be deeper underground than Saddam.

Training ex. most likely. These are bombers.

Perhaps a simulated target is something down there, or it could be an en-route turning point (post bombing run) for the way back. Much like churches etc in the town of Menai in wales. Now and again it's like an air show there..

Probably over 40 runs in and out of town so that makes sense, there is a big railway bridge along the route they appeared to take.

scratchchin Having driven back north the weather is really bad if you want to see the ground. Possibly Taunton area was a "secondary" target as it was nice clear skys so we had them all today rather than their usual setup.

"I thought it was great, why do people always moan. I bet they were the same ones who moaned about Jools Holland playing in Taunton."

Too right Selly - those Rhythm and Blues hating Commie bds!
