"The Macc Loop" Bwylch
Discussion
Can any one give me some directions to this place ?
Ive been looking at a number of superb lowlevel photos and wouldnt mind taking a walk up some of these mountains myself .. who knows .. might get lucky ?
Is there a published list of when low level flights will be taking place ?
Does it indeed still happen ?

It's basically the loop of the A470 and A483, with Machynlleth in the south and Dolgellau in the north. Another route follows the A494 from Bala towards the coast.
Flying is week days only (usually) and fairly good weather only (usually) and often avoid the working day before a bank holiday. Have a search, there is a website which describes the climbing effort required, and expect it to be pretty wet and boggy at this time of year, not to mention cold..
Easiest climb is from the the car park north of Corris which overlooks Tal-y-lyn. Wherever you go you'll get a great view. If you don't fancy too much climbing, just park in the carpark north of Dinas Mawddwy just after the uphill bends and you'll get a great view without a long climb (although the view from the ridge in front of you is spectacular here).
