Hi all, can anyone help me out with some questions about the Battle of Britain Air weekend at Kemble.

My Grandad really wants to go and I said I would take him, but an extensive Google search and search of official website has not thrown up a timetable of the weekend of when the flying events will be? My Grandad really wants to see the Spitfire and Lancaster flying (as do I).

Thing is I want to go to Rally day at Castle Combe on the Saturday as well but want to make sure that if we go to Kemble on Sunday we haven't missed anything. Also I want to make sure we don't turn up too late and miss the flying but my Grandad is 80 so struggles to last a whole day on his feet so don't want to turn up early and then be waiting around all day if the planes are flying in the late afternoon.

Cheers for any help with the timetable.

According to the BBMF website ( http://www.raf.mod.uk/bbmf/displayinfo/sep2009.cfm )
they're scheduled to be displaying at 1400 on Sunday.

It's not going to be a big airshow as far as I am aware. Don't think there is any Military aircraft flying. Check the UK Airshow Review Forum for more details. http://forums.airshows.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=17&am...

Take your grandad, live in the Kemble area and had a Lancaster do multiple passes past my place - mustve been 100ft off the deck; awesome!

The Lancaster has just flown over my head right now, Bucks/Northants border, heading South West towards a Luton/Hatfield type direction.

Says Notholt & Goodwood today so I guess it's a route around London and away from Heathrow, plus it also said Arnhem first on the calendar, would it have done Arnhem then back to base at Coningsby then on to the others?
