One afternoon last week I was working from home and heard what sounded like a helicopter spooling up. We do have a local who owns a helicopter, so I assumed it was him. However, the noise grew louder, and as I watched, an apache rose into the air from a field the other side of the village.

Can anyone explain what was going on? There are no military bases (that I know of) in our tiny community.

Maybe the pilot just needed a piss? In my old job we stopped in random fields on more than one occasion to answer nature's call

When out on airtest post depth servicing from Wattisham the often drop into fields, or hover just above the ground whist testing and collating figures.
